Before and after the storm

We went to our favourite beach yesterday morning with what felt like a warm tropical breeze on our faces. Walking through the woods my favourite trees with their roots showing , and the little doorways into the land inside of them.

All was quiet and still birds happily singing their morning chorus.
The sea was calm all around seemed to be in waiting, anticipating what was over the horizon.

We got home and within two hours the storm was arriving, with the wind howling and leaves blowing all around.
I spent the day inside warm and cosy .
Returning this morning to see what the force of the wind had carved out.
Surprisingly no trees down , though lots of leaves. A tree from a past storm already recreating itself with new shoots coming up has been part of this landscape in its new form since we first starting visiting here several years ago. Nature is amazing. The beach however was carved into a very different landscape to yesterday's.

Home again and pondering 🤔 it's what happens to us all the time . We are shaped and carved into our new becomings by life's ups and downs . It can at times seem like we are being blown around without anything tethering us , yet after it has passed we seem firmer than ever in our own knowing.

Natty knitters

Well day two of this blog spot and another wonderful idea that came to me as a way to engage our seekers. Let's get them knitting. Nothing complex , just small squares in our lovely wool from our very own alpacas

and processed just 10 minutes away at Curlew Weavers http://www.westwales.co.uk/curlew.htm.
Roger and his passion made such wonderful yarn , all natural and a joy to work with.

Imagine ,  I thought ,  if all seekers were to make a small square each , not taxing at all and really beautiful. We can sew each square to make a Seekers Own Shawl (SOS) save our souls , save our sanity , save our self, oh the thoughts just tumbled in . Imagine this glorious shawl wrapping around each seeker with all the love poured in it .

So I set about making the first one . Simple and joyful to make , they will be sewn together binding us all in a rich sense of healing on all levels . Always lovely to look at something crafted by yourself , simple though it may be it gives a wonderful sense of achievement . Yep it's a definite option as a craft therapy . After all we have rather a lot well over a hundred balls . Now where did I leave the knitting needles......just  here

Four legged seekers

What a wonderful way to start the first official blog. So blessed with the weather this morning. We bundled our four dogs in the van and headed to my favourite beach Penbryn , it's just 7 minutes away. We enter the woods and step down to the waterfall it's like a magical secret land of childhood where any minute now you might glimpse a little faerie or elf step out from under a log.

The new smells left overnight by the wildlife have the dogs excited and seeking in all the undergrowth , they know the way we have trodden it many times. Martha never goes too far ahead . She is our youngest dog, and although she is very vocal she really wants to know you are close at hand . I had a thought whilst walking , how lovely to offer our seekers the opportunity to take a dog for a walk and Martha will make the perfect companion.

Ten minutes through the woodland and we arrive at the beach . Not another soul in sight other than Ali waiting patiently for us all to emerge from the woods.

As we all step onto the beach Kipper quickly engages with the birds , he loves to play the chasing  game , they are all far to smart for him , though he never loses his enthusiasm for the game

Dylan promptly enters the water pool made by the stream flowing down from the woods , and captured by the rocks and stones the incoming tide has pushed up the beach.

I adore this time in the morning how lovely it will be to have seekers join us if they feel drawn to.

Mother Nature and all her healing elements.
Food for the soul indeed.

Gwenhwyfar Garden Pre Launch Excitement

Hello there, we're Jenni & Ali Chapter and this is our new blog. We're both going to take turns in writing it and today it's me, Jenni.

We're so excited to share with you that at the moment, we're getting ready to transition into something very special indeed.

But before I tell you what Gwenhwyfar Garden is, let me explain. We live in the most amazing farmhouse on the coast of Ceredigion, West Wales.

It's called Gorslwyd Farm. As I am a trained Sound Healer, Therapist & Soul Mid-Wife, it made sense for the West Wales Sound Healing Centre to be based at our Farm, where I have developed the most incredible Sound Studio.

It's been so wonderful to offer courses and events and to see the folk who stay at our Holiday Cottages leave totally transformed from the holisitc program on offer here.

The transition from Holiday resort to Healing Retreat has been spreading its wings over some time. More and more so, both Ali and I realised how utterly blessed we are, so we have made the decision to step fully into our desires and share our vision with those who are in crisis ...

... Gwenhwyfar Garden is a compassionate retreat for those who need our support to step into their own healing pathway.

So, you can see why we're so excited. We are reserving one of our holiday cottages, Cornflower Cottage, to help others in their hour of need.

However, we needed a way of being able to tell the world about our blessings, so we asked one of our friends, Holistic Arts Consultant, Cheryl Beer, to work with us & help us tell our story via a new website which is nearly ready to launch.

She has been taking photographs, interviewing us, making little films, designing the website, opened a bandcamp page for my gong music, helped us design our own logo and set up this blog for us.

In a matter of weeks, we'll be spreading our little duckling wings to become a swan, sharing our story online so that it reaches those in need of compassionate support during Spiritual & /or Mental Crisis.

So, bye for now, but not for long ...   Jenni
